Fees and Rebates

Transparent pricing and rebate information for your sessions.

The Australian Psychological Society (APS) suggested fee for a standard 46–60 minute consultation in 2026–27 is $330.

I offer rates below the APS suggested fee.

Private Health Insurance

A partial rebate may be available through your private health insurance.

Contact your health insurance provider directly to check whether your policy includes psychological services under extras cover.

Private health insurance rebates cannot be claimed for the same consultation as a Medicare rebate.

Medicare Rebates

Before your first appointment, you may like to see your GP to assess whether you are eligible for a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP).

With an eligible referral, the Medicare rebate for a clinical psychology consultation of at least 50 minutes is $149.05. Eligible clients can claim up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year, subject to referral and review requirements.

To process your rebate, please provide your referral letter and MHTP before your first appointment. Your GP can send these directly, you can email them, or you’re welcome to bring them with you.

Referrals

You do not need a referral to book an appointment.

Referrals are welcome from:

  • GPs
  • Psychiatrists
  • Allied health professionals

Appointment Cancellation Policy

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment for any reason.

The full appointment fee is payable for cancellations within 24 hours, or if you do not attend an appointment without prior notice.

Cancellation and no-show fees are not eligible for a Medicare rebate.
