  • You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people seek support when they feel stuck, overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or simply want things to feel easier. Therapy can also be a space for reflection, growth, and making sense of patterns that keep repeating.
A free 15-minute consult can help you decide whether this feels like the right next step.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process distressing or unresolved experiences. It can be particularly helpful for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and when talk therapy alone hasn’t been enough.

  • No. EMDR does not require detailed retelling of traumatic experiences. Sessions are carefully paced, with a strong focus on safety and emotional regulation.

  • This varies from person to person and depends on your goals, history, and what you’re seeking support for. Some people attend therapy short-term, while others benefit from longer-term support. We’ll review progress regularly and work together at a pace that feels right for you.

  • Yes. Telehealth can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many people. It offers flexibility and accessibility, and can be a good option if travel, time, or energy are barriers to attending sessions in person.

  • No referral is required to book an appointment. However, if you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates. Referrals from GPs and other health professionals are welcome.

  • In your first session, you will be asked some questions about what is going on for you at the time and about your past, in order to get to know you and understand what changes you are seeking to make. It is also a time when goals will be agreed to and a plan of action created that will provide the timeframe and structure for the remaining sessions.

  • A Mental Health Care Plan is a specific referral from your GP that allows you to receive up to 10 therapy sessions with a Medicare rebate per calendar year.

You initially receive 6 sessions with the care plan and then you can have a Review with your GP to receive an additional 4 sessions if needed. Feel free to contact us or speak to your GP for further information.

  • If you run out of medicare subsidised sessions, there are several options. You can continue to see your psychologist without a rebate, or if you have private health insurance, they may be able to rebate some of the fees. Please check with your private health provider whether your level of coverage includes psychology sessions.

  • We understand that there are circumstances beyond our control at times, which will mean appointments cannot always be kept. We respectfully request that at least 24 hours notice be provided if an appointment needs to be changed.

The full fee will be payable for any cancellations with less than 24 hours notice from the scheduled time of appointment or if no notice is given. Please refer to our Fees and Rebates page for more details.
